Looking forward to something can be almost as good as experiencing it. Whatttt !

I have begun to think more simply and accept some people can only be or do or see in a tighter range. Happiness is all relative.

My last 4 years of part time avocation work has put me in touch with people who have anxiety, some diagnosed and some not. I have found it remarkable how the idea of possibility … slows or even stops some people from moving forward. Anticipation is the enemy. The second enemy is the inability to know what one wants. So planning and execution is hard. Tools help, and time management helps, money can help or hinder.

I have begun to think more simply and accept some people can only be or do or see in a tighter range. Happiness is all relative.

Some people who delight in the planning and execution of anything from travel, to children to education and work. On a scale of 1-10, they get to 7 – 8. Rarely below 4. Meh. Others see all that prep and execution as work… and they prefer moments of glory in the final destination, the win, the game. 1-10, they get to 8, maybe 9. Rarely below 3. Always a bit more please or disappointed.

In my work and life, I promote and believe in a bit of deliberate planning, but really relish and promote the trip, the possible new interactions with people and places. I try and explain, that is where life is. Same scale of 1-10, consistently get to 9, occasionally 10. There are almost no downsides to this. None

Acceptance, then some tools, then a whole lot more acceptance. Try some more tools. etc..
