WSJ Comments, one of my most favorite things to do, after I play Pickleball.

  1. I played tennis (and golf). The play is is ok, most players are a bore however.
  2. Pickleball is usually nothing but laughter, camaraderie and entertainment.
  3. Tennis is arrogant and usually has a dress code, PB is live and let live, attire is flexible.
  4. At our FL stop, no town noted, the tennis courts and the PB courts are next to each other. From one side of the fence you here hooting and hollering, from the other side, whining and “I believe your shot was out Brad” or Buffy …. (cheap shot, sorry)
  5. I grew up in a Town in CT … (stereotype) WH for those who care to guess. They have put courts on land they already own, I feel horrible for those neighbors. They had empty park space or unused Tennis courts as neighbors now they will hear fun. It will be a bit noisy.
  6. Admission – I played it 4 years ago and my ego dismissed it. 3 Years ago, I played with friends and family. Good silly fun. Then I found out our Massachusetts Town had a group , uh ohhh.
  7. 2.5 years ago I put in a court at the house and I keep a paddle in every car.
  8. One more note on Tennis. Many Tennis players cannot convert to PB, they are just not that good. PB is a faster, hand / eye, than tennis. Racquet ball, ping pong players convert quick.

In closing – Try PB, you will likely fall in love and the popping sound will be music to your ears.
