Firstly, it is always fleeting and impossible to keep. It naturally ebbs and flows. It ultimately even disappoints a little.

I much prefer foundational theories like Satisfaction. Understanding that, seems much wiser.

To be satisfied in your work or play, is quietly enjoyable, you win some, you lose some, you make a few dollars, occasionally eat a hedonistic meal, expand your life accordingly not foolishly.

It seems that satisfaction is one of the true foundations to happiness.
Similarly, Discipline is the foundation to self control.


It is definitely not stuff, thats a disease of want. Usually shallow, a completely different topic.

In Howard Theories, it is simply “small victory living”. Small occurrences, done in enjoyment and some version of completion.

Don’t over think it, don’t be polly-annish, and definitely don’t be stupid.
