It is October, the days grow short, when do we get to leave ?

The weather is key.

Here in Eastham the population begins its slow contraction in late August.  Schools and sports begin.

Then September shadows appear, no dog leash and weekends are busy for a few hours.

Then October shadows come, a rainy or windy day is an eternity, once there is both and there is no beach visitation, yikes.

Then I see the cars get loaded and the great migration begins.
